Blank Dip -Core or 1 pt
Not really a recipe but this is an old standby that my mom would use when she was dieting. I find I do all my dips this way and it taste great.
- Any package dry soup mix
- One large container Fat free cottage cheese
- 1/4 to 1/2 c skim milk
Take your cottage cheese and place in large bowl if you have an immersion blender, start blending while slowly adding milk until you have the consistancy of thick sour cream. Stir in your soup pkg and voila’ low calorie dip!
If you don’t have an immersion blender it takes a little more work but it is possible in a regular blender. I would add some milk in first than the cottage cheese to get things moving. Slowly add more milk as needed and blend until you get the consistancy you like. Then stir in the soup mix!
You can also omit the soup mix and use it like sour cream. I usually take a small amount out before adding the soup for this purpose.
Serving size is 1/4c. or 1 pt. or 1/2 c. for 2pts. That’s alot of dip.
Serving suggestions. Cut up veggies for a point value of 0! or baked pitas, light chips count pts. As a sauce over chicken.
Let me know what you think and your favorite soup mix.
