Thanks Shannon. I was good and didn't give in to food that day. I still tear up a little thinking about it but for the most part I think I'm over it. I'm more in the pissed off mood now. Yes my daughter is a young teen. She said she doesn't care if she sees him or not but my son is a different story. He was only two when he left so he really didn't have much of a chance to get to know him. He wants the chance to get to know his father. I'm going to give him the chance but yet part of me hurts wondering why he doesn't see the abandonment, the lies, and the selfishness of his dad. How he just up and left, blaming it on me. How when he promised to take them somewhere, then never showed up. When he did have the kids for a day he would drop them off at a friends or relatives for them to take care of while he left. Or when he got mad at them he would bring them home early. I know he only saw them a few times but you would think you would remember those few times.

You are a GOOD woman, a GOOD mother and you do not deserve that crap! I'm not sure how old your daughter is (she's young teens, right?), but I think it might be time to give her a little background on her dad if he's sending her emails like that. She may very well be old enough to make her own choices.

In any case, don't let that jackass sabotage you! If you give up, he wins. He won't ever know that he won, but you would. So stay strong, stay focussed on your life, your wonderful family and your goals. Consider the source when he's spouting off and then try to let it go. I know, easier said than done!
